A Republican presidential incumbent appears ready to squander several hundred million dollars of his investors' money? And lose it even beyond the ability of the Rehnquist Court to, um, fix?
News like that can mean only one thing: pick up your feet. And sure enough, the famously independent and entirely autonomous organs of the reactionary right are ready to spread the muck with a front loader.
Let's see how it works in a recent example from the Campaign Trail.

KERRY ACCUSED OF CANNIBALISM WHILE IN VIETNAM
SOURCE: SLUDGE WASHINGTON DC FLASH 30594 MORE MEANINGLESS NUMBERS TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A REAL WIRE DISPATCH FROM THE 1930'S. Well-informed sources tell Sludge Report that Kerry engaged in grotesque acts of cannibalism while serving in Vietnam. Pentagon records show that Kerry led his team in many human barbecues. "I saw Kerry eat human flesh lots and lots of times," said one of Kerry's "comrades in arms," according to this well-placed source. Washington insiders predict these sensational new charges mark the beginning of the collapse of Kerry's misbegotten campaign. "I don't see how you can run for President on a platform of dining on human body parts," commented Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie. "It's sickening and disgusting." But the real question is why the liberal media elites that have been hyping Kerry for months won't pick up this highly reliable story. Reached for comment, the Deputy National Editor of the pinko New York Times told the SLUDGE REPORT: "What have you been snorting?" Cowards!

[super:waving American flag at half mast] [title:Kerry eats it] Another objective, fair-minded exclusive from America's most trusted, objective, upright and patriotic network -- Schlox News] [music:Battle Hymn of Republic] O'RAILLING: John Kerry – Washington's buzzing with the story of Kerry feasting on dead Viet Cong while serving in Vietnam. True or not, it's disgusting and anyone who is thinking about voting for that sleazy coward Kerry ought to think twice about putting a cannibal in the White House. Hey, that sounds like a good title for next week's quickie book. . . . . |
![]() Chew on This, Liberals
| The white wine sipping liberal elites now falling all over themselves to support John Kerry might ask the probable Democratic nominee whether he would like some human canapes with his Chablis.
While the accusations of cannibalism, which first appeared on the usually-reliable Sludge Report, aren't yet definitive, the non-denial denials from the Kerry campaign raise more questions than they answer. Where's the proof that Kerry didn't eat human flesh in Vietnam? | We're not talking about his so-called "buddies" who have termed the charge "disgusting" and "beneath contempt." We're talking about real Americans. We challenge John Kerry to once and for all repudiate his sordid practice of eating battlefield corpses. He may try to run and hide from his past, but rest assured the New York Pus won't let him get away with it. Kerry's failure to respond to these serious charges just shows how arrogant the liberal elite can be. Don't the American people deserve to know whether their President is a cannibal? |
Review & Outlook The Liberal Double Standard
Were any further evidence required to convict America's liberal elites of hypocrisy, the recent tempest over allegations that John Kerry feasted on corpses while "serving" in Vietnam ought to put to bed any remaining doubts. The story first broke on the Internet's famous Sludge Report. Yet none of the liberal media bothered to follow up on the story or even interview Kerry's supposed "band of brothers" to determine whether the story was in fact true. Compare their tendentious lack of interest in that war story with the liberal media elite feeding frenzy over the President's service in the Alabama National Guard. |
Somehow the inability of Bush's Air National Guard officers to recall his exact whereabouts on any given day thirty years ago consitutes an indictment on the President. But the inability of Kerry's far-left-liberal apologists to produce any factual evidence to contradict the cannabalism story goes remarkably unnoticed, except in the objective news coverage of Schlox News and the New York Pus. John Forbes Kerry may or may not have dined on human body parts in Vietnam but there can be no doubt that America's biased liberal media is disserving the nation with its double standard for "investigative journalism." |

ISN'T IT A CONFLICT OF INTEREST FOR HIM TO REPORT ON THE CAMPAIGN OF MOE HOWARD?
NEW YORK (Reuters) -
Families who lost relatives in the
Sept. 11, 2001, attacks voiced outrage on Thursday at President
Bush's first ads of his re-election campaign that use images of
the devastated World Trade Center to portray him as the right
leader for tumultuous times.
Long time Bush adviser Karen Hughes defended the four commercials -- which began running on Thursday in at least 16 important battleground states -- as "tastefully done." "September 11 is not some distant event in the past," Hughes told ABC's "Good Morning America." "All of us feel deeply that tragedy but it's also important to recognize the impact it had on our national public policy." (Additional reporting by Larry Fine)– Reuters via Yahoo!
